Ziel:
Im
Mittelpunkt der Arbeit des Gender Institutes Sachsen-Anhalt
steht die institutionelle Bündelung, Realisierung und
Koordination von Forschungs- und Bildungsaktivitäten
zur professionellen Umsetzung des Gender Mainstreaming-Konzeptes.
Es ist das Anliegen des Gender Institutes, zum Abbau von Wissensdefiziten
und Verständnisproblemen über die unterschiedliche
Situation von Frauen und Männern beizutragen. Das Verhältnis
zwischen den Geschlechter soll in allen gesellschaftlichen
Bereichen zum Vorteil von beiden gestaltet und entwickelt
werden.
Ambition
The
focus of the Saxony-Anhalt Gender Insitute lies on the institutional
bundling, the realisation and co-ordination of research and
educational activities in order to translate gender mainstreaming
into action. It is the ambition of the Gender Institute to
help reducing gaps in knowledge and problems of understanding
in what ways the situation of women and men is different.
The relation between women and men shall in all aspects of
society be developed to the advantage of both sides.

Auf
seiner Seite bietet das Gender Institut umfangreiche Möglichkeiten
zur Information und Bildung. Die Einführung zum Begriff
selbst beihaltet neben der Definition des Begriffes auch eine
Darstellung der angestrebten Doppelstrategie von speziellen
Maßnahmen und integrativer Gleichstellungspolitik. Darüber
hinaus informiert die Seite über das umfangreiche Leistungsangebot
des Gender Institutes auf den Gebieten Forschung und Information,
internationale Kontakte und Projekte, sowie Bildung. Eine
Datenbank mit Forschungsergebnissen und Literatur soll in
Kürze folgen. Die Seite ist auf Deutsch und auf Englisch
abrufbar.

The
Gender Institute's website offers extensive possiblities for
information and education. The introduction to the term itself
includes besides the definition of the term an illustration
of the aspired double strategy of special measures and an
integrative equal opportunities policy. Moreover does the
site inform about the extensive services of the Gender Institute
in the fields of research and information, international contacts
and projects as well as education. A database with the results
of latest research and literature is planned. The site is
available in German and English.

Zielgruppe
Das
Gender Institut Sachsen-Anhalt richtet sich an interessierte
Frauen und Männer, die hier nicht nur die Möglichkeit
zur Information, sondern auch zur Weiterbildung haben. Das
Institut kann dabeii auf unterschiedlichste Art und Weise
behilflich sein: es informiert über Ergebnisse der Gender
Forschung und erstellt Gutachten und Analysen, ist auf dem
Bereich der Weiterbildung tätig und vermittelt Kontakte.
Gleichzeitig fördert es die Zusammenarbeit von ExpertInnen
und Kooperationen auch auf europäischer Ebene. So bündelt
es unterschiedliche Aktivitäten an einer Stelle.
Target
group
The
Saxony-Anhalt Gender Institute addresses women and men interested
in Gender Mainstreaming who do not only have the possibility
to inform themselves, but also to study further. The institute
can help in many different ways to realise this: it offers
information about the latest reseach results, offers further
training and makes contacts between those interested in the
subject. At the same time it supports the collaboration of
experts and co-operations on a European level. Thus the Gender
Institute bundles various activities in one place.
