Ziel

Gender Mainstreaming wird als bedeutungsvoller und vieldiskutierter Begriff in vielen unterschiedlichen Bereichen verwendet. Die daraufhin einsetzende Informationsflut wirkt teilweise aber kontraproduktiv und bewirkt Desinteresse. Wirklich gute Projekte - im Sinne von best practice auf Europäischer Ebene - sind häufig nur einem kleinen Kreis von Interessierten bekannt. Diese Vorbildprojekte werden im Rahmen des Webrings vernetzt und sichtbarer gemacht - in ihrer Vielfalt und mit konkreten AnsprechpartnerInnen.

Ambition

Gender Mainstreaming as a significant and much discussed term is being used in many different areas. The resulting information flood partially does prove to be counterproductive and provokes lack of interest. Truely remarkable projects - in terms of best practice on a European level - often remain only known to a relatively small group of interested persons. Those outstanding examples are being connected and made more visible in their diversity while providing direct contact to the person in charge in the framework of the Webring.

Dies ist eine Non-Profit-Organisation aus Österreich, die Informationen für ander Projekte bereitstellt und die aktive Vernetzung von Initiativen und AkteurInnen zu aktuellen Europäischen Themen fördert.

Initiators

The European Gender Mainstreaming Webring is being initiated and built up by The World of NGOs. This is a non-profit-organisation from Austria, providing information for other projects and supporting network activities dealing with issues currently on the European agenda.
