Welcome to the European Learning Partnership Gender Mainstreaming Website!


New developments bring uncertainties with them. Above all when they should be brought into practice as a theoretical concept, which the Gender Mainstreaming intends to do as the ‘top-down’ approach.

How do men and women go about with the Gender Mainstreaming mission? How do they implement it in their various working environments? Are there different models in other countries? What, and how, can we learn from them?

The implementation of collective and mutual learning processes is the goal of this European Learning Partnership.


In the implementation of Gender Mainstreaming mutual understanding, as well as the circulation of practical examples should be achieved and promoted in Political Education.

Because the gender perspective is an over-all/general political question, on which planning and decision platform ‘strategically and systematically’ anchored must be, in order to implement
the actual equality of men and women.

The EU-Programme ‘ Grundvtig’ offers the Learning Partnership a suitable framework for discussions, seminars and meetings with the partners.

The Austrian Federal Ministry for Social Security and Generation enables the preperation of insights and products on this website, in order to support Civil Society Organisations through the implementation of the Gender Mainstreaming project.
